Over half full!
Dive right in to learning all about fishing. Fishing is a great way to relax and explore outdoors. It can also be an amazing way to put wild food on the table. We will be taking campers through everything you need to know to be an effective fish catcher. We will cover a wide variety of fishing techniques, from the primitive to the modern. Students will get to fish with a spinning reel as well as a fly rod. You will learn basic knots for attaching fishing tackle. Students will also get to practice collecting their own bait from nature.
In addition to all that, we will have demonstrations on fly tying and an opportunity to use an underwater camera to explore the fish’s habitat. When we catch some fish, we will also learn how to clean and cook them. This camp is going to be a great introduction to all things fishy.
NOTE: ALL CAMPERS 12 AND OLDER ARE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE THEIR OWN FISHING LICENSE FROM ODFW. YOUTH LICENSES ARE $10 AND ARE GOOD FOR A YEAR.
