Ages 4-6
Craft baskets, make candles, share stories

Out here in the West we are on the frontier. We must learn to meet all our needs from the resources of our homestead. Our food, water and shelter are carved from the land. Kids have always played a vital role in the functioning of a homestead. Living on what we can create or harvest connects us to our land in a deep way.

Learn about the skills that make a homestead run smoothly. Kids will share stories and learn about preserving food. Our “family” will also explore the natural environment honing our skills of awareness and self-sufficiency. We will also work with exploring our creativity through traditional crafts including trying our hand at making simple gathering baskets.
