This camp is inspired by the works of Eric Carle, an author/illustrator of books for small children that feature beautiful tissue-paper collage artwork. His books like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Very Busy Spider, and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? often feature children’s favorite animals.
Spending the day away at camp is an important step in growing up. It helps kids to build independence, resilience, and new social skills, as well as a new appreciation for nature. But it can also be intimidating, for kids and parents alike, to take that first step. Luckily, we have made it easy for you with My First Nature Camp. This camp is specially designed with the intention of making a 3 or 4 year old’s first camp experience an awesome one.
Campers will have their own designated area during drop off and pick up away from the rest of the campers where they will connect directly with their camp instructors and know exactly who they are supposed to be with at all times. A ratio of one instructor to every four kids ensures that kids get tons of hands-on attention during camp. Activities will be designed to introduce kids to spending time in nature in a fun and adventurous way. It is our goal that every camper in this program is started on a lifetime of nature connection and exploration.
During camp our expert staff will lead kids in games, songs, and explorations around the nearby forest. Along the way kids will learn some basic tricks for never getting lost in the woods. The level of the activities will be custom adapted to the personalities and interests of the campers attending that week.
Please note that all campers must be potty trained.
