Hitch up your oxen and join us for an historic adventure. The journey from Missouri to the Willamette Valley is a long one filled with excitement, and perhaps a little peril. To start your journey you will need to gather some supplies: food, clothing, and spare parts for your wagon. Don’t worry, we can trade along the way if we’ve forgotten anything.
Once we are all ready we will set out to travel the west. Mount Pisgah Arboretum will provide us with a huge variety of landscapes and ecosystems to traverse on our way “west to Oregon.” Along our journey we will meet many challenges. There will be mountains to cross and rivers to ford. Eventually we will arrive at our new home in the Willamette Valley where we will celebrate.
This camp is inspired by the classic computer game The Oregon Trail by MECC.
