Overnight Camps
A week in the Woods or A week on the coast!
Tucked away on the traditional homelands of the Kalapuya, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, and Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians both Camp Artemis and Little Fall Creek Camp (aka Youngers) will be held at the foot of the cascades North of Lowell, on Oregon Trail Council land. This beautiful mixed forest of Doug-fir, Red alder and Big Leaf Maple hung with lichen, is also bordered by Little Fall Creek. Our secluded camp spot has open meadows for games, lots of shady tree-covered spots for meals, crafts and rest times, and plenty of forest to explore. All campers will sleep in 6-person wall tents, with a Junior Counselor as mentor and helper for each group. This rustic location offers campers the opportunity to practice the essential outdoor skill of hardiness – as there is no running water, no showering facilities, and porta-potties for bathrooms. We will spend the week learning to embrace the elements of nature! Bring clothes that can get dirty, plenty of sunscreen and bug repellant, and a sturdy sense of adventure.
Campers of Coastal Adventure will journey on a road trip down the Oregon Coast from Astoria to Reedsport.
To make things easier for families, all overnight campers will be dropped off at Mt Pisgah at 9am on Monday morning, as part of our usual day camp drop-off. Camp Artemis and Little Fall Creek Campers will be transported by van to the campsite, and at the end of the week families will get a glimpse of camp life when they come out to pick their campers up on Friday at 4pm.
Our Coastal Adventure campers will be dropped off and picked up at Mt Pisgah following usual day camp procedures.

Monday: Meet the team, prepare the playlist (no road trip is complete without a soundtrack), say bon voyage to your family and embark on your epic journey! We’ll start the adventure by driving to the Northern tip of the Oregon coast and camping at Fort Stevens State Park. Experience the awesome power of the ocean in this incredible place called the Graveyard of the Pacific. Oh, and to top it all off, we can even walk right up to an old shipwreck!

Student Leadership Opportunities
Junior Counselors (JCs) are an integral part of the success of our overnight camp programs. The JC program is designed to give our more experienced students hands on leadership experience in mentoring younger campers. Junior Counselors will get a behind the scenes perspective on what it takes to run a summer camp, will support the activities being taught, and will have the opportunity to advance their own awareness and bushcraft skills.
